TRUE STORY: We’d make the strongest starch possible, (also could add SUGAR) to make them really stiff to wear under those full skirts. Also wore SEVERAL at the same time. Can you imagine what torture that was in HOT, HUMID, HOUSTON? (Which is in TEXAS)…..
